In the Learning Path Mendix for Private Cloud My Server Connection Keeps Timing Out During the Installer Phase (Step 2.4)

Hello ,   Basically as the title says, I’ve been working on the “Mendix for Private Cloud” learning path and have followed all the steps correctly up to step 2.4. However when I try to continue by running the Mendix Base Installer Configuration tool the server connection times out. I’ve tried almost everything apart from pulling my hair out, changing the config file, reinstalling, opening ports, changing permissions, etc. and nothing seems to work.
