Progress indicators on Challenges

As a true sucker for gamification I am happy with the challenges, but there is one thing I don't understand: Why are there progress indicators on the challenges that don't need them (because you only need 1 action to fulfill the challenge) and none on the challenges that could actually benefit from them, like the 'get 10 upvotes' bullit for instance.
