Golang based microservices are becoming very common on IoT Edge devices. There is an online service called Flogo (https://www.flogo.io/) which provides allows a low-code method of building data processing pipelines and allows generating a ready-to-run statically linked Golang binary.
My suggestion was to consider adding similar support to Mendix, to make it usable for IoT Edge data processing.
