it’s been a while since the last maker of the month challenge. IMO the main issue with the challenges and the contributions was the way it was announced and how people handed in their challenges. The forum does not seem to be a fitting place for that.
The challenge of the month should be a feature on it’s own. There should be an option to hand in contributions without everyone seeing them before the hand-in phase for the challenge is over. During the hand-in phase, contributors are free to edit their entries. After that phase, there could be an evaluation week during which entries can be ranked and discussed by the community.
We will probably see more interesting and diverse solution approaches this way
