Prior to version 9.12, we were able to specify interval in seconds for a scheduled event and this is critical for certain features in our application but this is not available 9.12 onwards. It will be extremely useful if that can be brought back.
Also prior to 9.12, we were able to specify the start date/time of a scheduled event giving us flexibility to spread apart the events that run with the same interval e.g. Two events each with an interval of 1 minute, but they could start 30 seconds apart from each other. This too was a very handy feature and will be very useful if it can be brought back.
Did Mendix provide a reason for this change (Kalyani, Marcel)?
Agree. We just upgraded tot Mx 9.24.11 and we have lots of scheduled events. They were timed all apart, to prevent peak load on database/server, as some processes are quite resource intensive.
Now suddenly 8 scheduled events run at exactly the same time causing peak load. Also generating query timeouts on the most simple queries. There should at least be a setting such as MaxConcurrentEvents or something like that so that Mendix will not run 10 events async at the same time..
