Currently in Mendix we have the document template that could be created to generate PDF.
In the document template, currently there is no possibility of showing the images, avoiding/showing up the special
characters.
The idea is to build a module/widget for PDF export which will be a very beneficial thing for all the developers, as more time would be saved in terms of building the document as much UI changes have to be done currently.
If not this, adding a feature which can be used to show images, special characters(simply putting, all the features what CK editor/rich text widget provides) to show on PDF as well.
