Wouldn't it be great if you could tell Maia to create a Forum post for you just by giving it a few details from within other platform apps or Studio Pro?
Imagine for instance that you are developing a feature in Studio Pro, and you get an error in the logs which you don't know how to solve. You asked Maia but you are not satisfied with the answer. Well then just tell Maia inside Studio Pro to create a Question for you, copy & paste the error (or attach a screenshot) and say what happened before you got the error. Maia would fill in automatically the Space, correct tags and formulate your question in a readable manner.
This would also be great if you are chatting with Maia about something (in any app), and you get an Idea, just tell tell Maia to create an Idea post for you.
This would allow you to concentrate on what you were doing, instead of distracting you from your work and leaving the app.
I think there are a lot of use cases for improving the user experience by enabling Maia to create Posts for you, as it would save time, create a more seamless experience and it could increase engagement.
Think of the steps you could automate:
- Going to the Forum app
- Login,
- Choose the right space
- Choose the right tags
- formulate your answer
- & more
Thank you for your reply and I understand your concern but that is quite a pessimistic outlook on it.
If you think about it, we could have had this "issue" also before Maia existed right? People would have posted "unserious" posts/questions before the arrival of Maia. (there is no data to support this has happened)
I do understand your theory, but if we introduce this, and what actually happens instead is that we have a lot more engagement, and people are much more willing to post on the Forum, then we would be missing a huge benefit. We could always just revert this functionality if we see that the results are negative.
Also, you could implement some logic before letting Maia upload the posts:
- Maia could first give suggestions for similar posts before uploading the post of the user
- If the concern is that big that a lot of users would add "unserious" posts, then you could also only let users posts above a certain level, certification or forum points. Although I would not prefer this as it excludes other users.
I'm afraid we'd see a storm of new basic questions flooding the forum. A lot of questions would then get a comment "Oh, never mind. Found the issue.", if they'd take even the effort to report back. It'll also be more difficult to distinguish the serious questions from the low-effort/impulsive (Maia) posts.
No, please don't.
