Data grid with images

How can I show a data-grid containing the first thumbnail of that record and some text? I have an Entity 'stock' with an assosiated image table with approx 8 images per stock item. To be used for a product catalog.

I think you should look at using a Template grid rather than a data grid - this allows you to create a repeating grid containing multiple elements like text and images, ideal for a product catalog

The Explorer Pane widget from the appstore might be useful for this purpose too.
