Does mendix (In SAP cloud) use a static public IP for mailing?

Hi, We need to setup mailing functionality at one of our customers, but we need to know for sure that mendix  deployed in the SAP cloud is using a static public IP address in the SMTP email module. This due to the fact they are using option 3 explained on the following page. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/mail-flow-best-practices/how-to-set-up-a-multifunction-device-or-application-to-send-email-using-office-3 So to be using this we can only be mailing from a static IP address.   This would as far as I understand also mean we would not be using a username and password. Can the email module handle this as well?   Thanks.

Hi,

the Email module will also work without username and password.

Getting a static IP address is most likely a matter of the SAP cloud setup so you should just ask their support.

But why can’t you go for option 1?
