Earlier this month, I saw this article Import a large Excel file pop in to the Documentation feed at developers.mendix.com. I read the article and thought it sounded like a great way to eliminate a lot of manual work that is usually necessary to set up an import for a spreadsheet with a lot of columns. This technique may be familiar to you - if so, you're way ahead of me. Yesterday, I had a requirement to import a file with a lot of columns - in the past, this would have required A LOT of tedious entry of attributes into a new import entity. Not anymore! Using the technique in this article, I saved a considerable amount of time setting up this import. Many thanks to Sebaastian van der Plaat for enlightening me (and saving me a bunch of time)!
