What is unified app layout in Build an App with Speech Synthesis and Recognition module? I am doing below step: Create a Snippet, name it MicrophoneSnippet, and place it on the Snippet Call widget in unified app layout.

It's a bit weird description indeed. In the end the MicrophoneSnippet you have created will be used in different pages (Login, ConfirmationPage and QuestionsAndAnswerPage etc). This is what they mean I think with a Snippet Call to MicrophoneSnippet in the different pages you have created were the MicrophoneSnippet will be used at the same place on top of the page (unified).

I have added a screenshot of the snippet call SAmple.MicrophoneSnippet which I use in different pages at the same place like the demo. On top of each page.
