releaseAllInactiveLocks in Mendix 5.21.1

What does releaseAllInactiveLocks of communitycommons exactly do? Is this java action necessary in Mendix 5.21.1 to release old locks? We regulary encounter errors with this java action.

This is only needed if you are using the Community Commons record locking java actions. There is also an escalation to do this automatically. I think it removes record locks (not database locks) that have been orphaned when a user leaves a page by an unexpected route, such as closing the browser, if they are no longer logged in.
