Instead of search button how can we use the search icon to search the elements inside the data grid. And if there are no elements inside that how can we get the validation message like “no results found”.

What elements do you have on the page, a datagrid and a button, and how are they placed. But I think you need a second container having visibility based on the emptyness of the search-result-list.
