The free version is limited. As soon as you want more control in the backups and number of concurrent users , requests handlers etc. you will need to buy a license.

As you can imagine, there are some limitations to an unlicensed app, such as the number of concurrent users, the runtime, or even the data hub. Most business applications do require a license because of these restrictions, but there can be exemptions.

As soon as you run out of options to make do with one (or several) free versions. This will happen when the database grows too much, you need more support, more legal backup in case of business responsibilities, etc.
