Is there any reason to keep the Gulpfile.js in the Mx9 project folder?

Can't think of any reasonable reason not to, but is there a reason to keep any Gulpfile.js in your Mendix 9.X project? Additionally, are there any other legacy files from Mx8/7 or older that you can currently delete in your Mx9 project? Was doing some little cleanup and noticed these, possible, leftover files. Probably obvious, yet curious just to be sure.
