We are using Mendix version 9.6.7 and usindg the excel download till yesterday the excel was downloaded but today for some reason .htm file is downloaded. Please help

Have you tried opening the .html file with a browser or text editor. It will probably contain an error message which should give you some guidance on what has happened.
