is the forum itself powered by Mendix?

Just curiosity, but is the forum and community portal also made in Mendix? I'd be interested in having this Rich Text widget that I used to type in this question in my application as well...

No, the Forum runs on a open source forum (published by Mendix, you can find it on GitHub). The community portal runs on Confluence. All other applications, including the Appstore, run on Mendix. The rich text editor which you can use to document widgets in the Appstore, is available in the AppStore: https://appstore.mendix.com/link/app/Rich Text Suite
