Is it possible for an entity in one domain model in one module to reference entities inside a domain model of a different module?

For objects in the same module you can always create a reference by clicking the border of an object and drag the line to the other object. You can click the "Toggle cross-module associations" button to show/hide these references. This button is to the left of the update security button in the domain model.

Yes, double click on an object in the domain model. On the second tab, associations, you can add a reference to an object in any module.
