Has anyone set up a Call REST Service with a CAM Server/TM1?

Hi, I'm struggling to setup a Call REST Service to our TM1 solution, which uses a CAM Server. I use the API with Python, so know that it works, currently trying to call it via a "local" Mendix app, on the same laptop. So I think I need help with knowing how to handle the authentication within the Call REST Service. When I try I get the "An error occurred, please contact your system administrator." popup. Has anyone got this working with their TM1 solution that could help? Many thanks, hope it makes sense Dean
