Dynamically updating a Mendix Maps view depending on selection

I have a standard Mendix maps widget and a pane of checkboxes which the user can choose to tick or untick depending on if they wish to see the respective properties (buildings) on the map (see image). Currently I have resorted to using a button to update the map by just showing the page again. What I would like is to update just the map view when the user ticks or unticks a box. Is that possible without refreshing the entire page?
