Authentication using an external POST API using email & password

I am using free version of mendix, I want to create a new Login page which runs authentication API on click of a button. Please tell me step by step process. Will it work using Mendix login text box and password box to call a 3rd party POST API and send 2 key's in api on click of a button. If you can use Images to show the step by step process it will be more helpfull. Thanks
