How to warn the user before leaving unsaving page ?

Right now for version 2.5.1, if the users edit some transactions then move to other menu or log off without saving first page. The program doesn't warn them and they're gonna end up losing their work in the first page. Moreover page forward and backward link doesn't work. How can I prevent this problem ?
