Deployment hangs on Performing Startup stage in Mendix modeler

Whenever I tried to deploy an application in the modeler, the system hangs for ever when it reaches the "Performing Startup" stage. I'm using Windows XP, this problem was on the old versions of Mendix and still remaining after upgrading to Mendix 2.5.1

Might be a firewall issue. Can you temporarily disable it? Last but not least, have you installed .NET 3.5 and Java SDK 1.6?

Thanks for your answer, I disabled the firewall but it still the same, I already have the .Net 3.5 and Java SDK 1.6 installed.

I found that this is related to the javaw.exe process, if I kill this process, the deployment will forced to stop, do I have to check something related to Java?

I think you should reinstall your JDK

Thanks, I tried to reinstall the JDK 1.6, still, I have the same problem
