How will the database be initially created?

Please find this questions from one of our partners: When deploying a Mendix application, how will the database be initially created? 1) Administrator to create empty database shell? 2) SQL script run by an Administrator? 3) Restore from a backup? 4) Install program? 5) Other? Please explain:

The database is created by the application as soon as the application starts, if not existing yet.

If the database user account used by the app to connect to the database engine does not allow this, an empty database should be created by the administrator.
