Unable to configure Email Connector Module

0
Hi community,   One of the clients I'm working for has two apps, both apps make use of the Email Connector Module, but both apps require a different email account to be configured for it. For both apps, we're using the basic authentication method and the email accounts used are Gmail Workspace accounts.   For the first app, everything went just fine. The username & password were recognized by the Email Connector Module, not a hassle at all.   For the second app however, I can't get it to work. My client has configured the password of the email in the same matter as he did for the first app (by creating an App Password in Gmail Workspace). Even after various checks and following the same approach over and over again, I keep receiving the following error:   535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. For more information, go to 535 5.7.8 https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BadCredentials ffacd0b85a97d381ed99a34bsm2341846f8f.54 - gsmtp   However, we are sure that the credentials are correct.   One important detail may be that the email address used in the first app has been made years ago, whilst the email address used in the second app has been made a couple of weeks ago.   Does anyone know what could be going on here?

Hi Martijin,

Confirm that the second Gmail Workspace account has 2-Step Verification enabled. App Passwords are only available when 2-Step Verification is active. Without this, the generated App Password won’t be recognized.

If not,  enable 2step verification. After that Search App Password--Create New app. It will generate new Password.

Thanks,

Arun
