Downloading project - Taking too long - Resolving Deltas

On a regular basis I'm downloading our application which use to take 3-5 min... without any problems. And until this day most of my coworkers still don't have an issue downloading a certain branch. However the last 3x - I deleted my local project too redownload a 'fresh' version from the server I'm getting the following message: Currently its at 78% - and time passed is 20min... Is there a way to go around this? Because this is for me not acceptable waiting that long.
