In mendix, using OData, how to save changes from Excel back to Mendix?

I have followed the Mendix documentation for setting up an OData connection for an entity. I am able to get the attributes of the entity to display in Excel upon making the OData connections. Now, I would like to be able to modified the entry in Excel and get those changes to be reflected back into the entity in Mendix. I have made sure that the OData service in Mendix is configured to allow updates. In Excel, I modify one of the cells that contain data and then Go to the "Data" tab in Excel Click on "Refresh All" The data returns to its original content, meaning that the data I entered is not stored back into Mendix. Please advise how to resolve this. Thanks.
