Failing to generate components.json for Native Mobile App

Hello, I'm using Mendix Studio Pro 10.21.1; this wasn't an option on the drop-down list. I'm working on an app project starting from the Native Mobile App template. I'm able to run the app locally on my Windows PC, and it starts without any issues. However, when I try to connect with the Mendix Make It Native app on my iPhone, the following error shows up in the Mendix console: Log level: Error Log node: Connector Message: 404 - file not found for file: components.json When I navigate to project_folder/deployment/native, I can't find this components.json file. I've tried deleting the native folder and doing App>Build Native Mobile App to rebuild it, but it's still missing. I also tried creating a new blank project from the same template, but it has the same issue. I'm fairly new to Mendix, so thank you for your help!
