How to generate a pdf with a map

Hi, My goal is to generate a pdf that includes an image of a map with a marker that was created using the Maps widget.   I tried using the DocumentGeneration module which works fine locally, but on the on-premise server I've had trouble. Initially I got Timeout errors. I simplified the document to not include any images and that was successful. But as I added to the pdf, I then started seeing ClassNotFound errors in the log.    I resolved the userlib issues and tried testing again and the same thing happened.  This happened at least a handle of times.   So I'm thinking I need to use the document template at this point but not sure how to go about showing the map on the pdf.   Does anyone have any suggestions?   Thank you! Hi Tracy,

 

Let me know if you already tried this approach without use any additional modules:

  1. Persist the image of the map on an entity (EntityX);
  2. Create a Document Template to include an image from EntityX;
  3. Generate the PDF with the image you want, and download/use the PDF as you wish.
