Error Mendix Modeler has stopped working

0
Hi there, I just installed Mendix Modeler (latest version) on Windows 7 (i'm using parallels 11 on Mac) but for some reason Mendix Modeler doesn't start at all. When I try to open Mendix it shows an error saying "Mendix Modeler has stopped working" (problem event name = APPCRASH). Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I would suggest to follow Ronald's suggestion of trying a different Mendix, e.g. 6.4.0. If that Modeler also fails to start, there may be something wrong with the .NET installation on your computer. Upgrade to .NET 4.5.2 or if you already have that version, uninstall it and reinstall it. Hope this helps.

I have same issue "Mendix Modeler has stopped working".

I have Windows 10 64bit machine. I tried to install Mendix Modeler 6.10.0 but I got this error. So, I search about this and found this page. I uninstall and tried to install 6.9.1 got same error. Uninstall that one too.

I uninstall and tried to install 6.9.0 got same error.

Please, anyone, suggest which version will work on my "Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64 bit"? So, I don't need to waste my whole day or days to install and uninstall the software.

Hi

I know it’s a bit late but I just faced the same issue and solved it by installing the updated D3DComplier (D3DCompiler_47.dll) for the 4.7 .NET framework,  because When you try to install the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7 on a computer (which the modeler automatically install https://docs.mendix.com/refguide/system-requirements) that runs Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1), Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, or Windows Server 2012, the setup is blocked and cannot continue, and according to Microsoft “this issue occurs when the computer does not have the update for D3DComplier (D3DCompiler_47.dll) installed. “

You can refer to this link to read more about it https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4020302/the-net-framework-4-7-installation-is-blocked-on-windows-7-windows-ser
