As far as I am aware it is not possible to run to mendix solutions on one server as a mendix service only points to one directory. However is there no way to install two services that each point at a different directory? If this is currently not possible are there plans to make improvements in this area?

Of course this is possible. In the service console you can easily point to a directory and give the service a unique name. We have a mendix server with several installations and different services. Just make sure you create different directories to deploy your applications and use the service console to make a service for each one of them.
