Error: Uploading file failed: File document for file id could not be retrieved

After migrating a project to 2.5.1 I am having problems with uploading objects (pictures etc.) which are already in the system. I have no problems creating a new user and uploading a new picture to it For existing users that already have a pricture (but the picture is gone after migrating to 2.5.1) when I try to upload a new picture I get the error "Uploading file failed: File document for file id could not be retrieved". Is there any solution for this besides removing all objects from the picture Entity and upload them all new.
