Mendix on Android

Is a port of the Mendix runtime to Android possible so that local apps can run on Android? Yes I hear you yelling: who will need that? But making Mendix available as a common used development platform will open new markets.

Mendix applications run pretty stable in the Android browsers (Except Opera).

If you want an actual application to interface with your Mendix server, you can easily do this by setting up webservices, which your Android application can connect with.

I might still have a prototype somewhere of an android app that displays Mendix AppStore items in a simple list, using the same webservices the Modeler uses, if you're interested.
