How to change the position of the search button?

When upgrading from 2.4 to 2.5.2.1, one of the visual changes is that in select forms the positions of the select button and search button have changed. The button order was SELECT, SEARCH, now it's SEARCH, SELECT. Our client wishes to keep the previous order, but I can't find a way to change it. Is this possible? Can it be done by editing the theme?

You can do this by floating the select button. But this is really a bad solution, because you need to define a css style for each select button. Therefore you need to know the div id of the select button. If you wish I could give you a css example.
