Is there any existing capability within the Mendix platform, or has someone otherwise achieved a way, to have an application receive an email, scan the contents (where the structure/format of the email is already known and fixed) and extract specific information for storage in the database? Yep, there is an module available for that, but it is Mendix 3.0 compatible only, and Mendix 3.0 is not released yet. Once Mendix 3.0 comes out the module will appear in the appstore.
