scheduled events in production

is there a way to force start/stop of a scheduled event in PROD? (i.e. if I need to force exit of a scheduled event)

Not as far as I know, we build some functionality to control the events. This will allow for running or not running an event (MF), schedule the events for a certain time frame and stop the resulting MFs from the event to run as we had a similar issue. To stop the event the only thing I can think of is to stop the server and change the server config. But I expect that you would like to do it more dynamically in the runtime.
