Calling a deeplinked microflow from Javascript

I have a generic widget, that executes javascript client-side. How do I call a Mendix Microflow from a deeplink URL? When I do, I only get the theme's index.html page and I don't fire off the deeplink URL.

As an alternative: you can call a microflow via the mx framework.
