when deploying the project in mendix cloud it gives not a valid MDA as error pop up

when deploying the project in mendix cloud it gives not a valid MDA as error pop up. Plz tell me what could be the problem.my project runs perfectly on my local machine.I created the deployment archive file through medix modular(menu->project->create deployement archive).

In your post you're saying your Mendix version is 2.5.6, yet you are deploying in the cloud? Which cloud are we talking about here? The regular cloud only works for Mendix versions from 3.0.0. How exactly are you uploading your MDA?
