Scheduling microflows or Java actions

I have a Java action which creates a file based on the instances of a given object created that day. I would like to run this action every evening, can this be done in Mendix?

Yes. In your project explorer there's for each module a 'scheduled events' item. There you can define scheduled microflows (or microflows that calls a Java action). For more information about scheduled events click here.
