Migrate data from test to production

I've got a testdatabase with data. I'd like to migrate some of the data to production. Is there a simple way (e.g. Mendix plugin/app) to do this.

1) Export to Excel and use the Excel importer Module

or

2) Use the Database synchronization Module

you will need to consider where your production environment is !

I am working on a generic module for that. However it is still in development phase.
