Are the scheduled events client/server? If have configured a scheduled event, how does this work? The event can not be found in my Windows Task scheduler, perhaps it can be found in another location?

A scheduled event will run on the server and will be executed in the java runtime. You can't see them in your windows task scheduler, because it's not a windows task but a "mendix scheduled event".
