How is it that my application can be seen on a web url?

When you deploy your app on a server, the app will be hosted at http://machinename:yourport, for example: http://appserver:8080. You can also associate a domain name to your application server. Do you want to host your app on your own app server or in the cloud?

hello, could i host on my company server? how does the license work? i've searched and searched and could not see anywhere the license price and how it works, i've been exploring the mendix business modeler for two weeks now and i havent experienced any restrictions what so ever! is it free?
