Is it possible to create Mendix.com homepage using the Mendix Modeler?

I know there is no advantage in creating a webpage like Mendix.com homepage using the Mendix Modeler, but I'm trying to understand how far can I go with the technology in terms of UI. Can I create, in the Modeler, the Mendix.com homepage? How (high level)? Would I start with a blank page (are blank pages possible?) and then add widgets?

Wait for the next version of Mendix that has extensive layout capabilities.

Many things are possible in Mendix 4. Normally you create forms and add widgets. You can create your own widgets. The main form (index.html) contains some panels, you can modify that in a theme.
