Possibility to toggle navigationtree on/off in runtime

Is there a possibility to toggle the navigationtree on and off from Microflow (or mouseover events)? We need this to make optimal use of available screen resolution. Now the navigation tree often consumes to much horizontal space.

Take a look at the Footer toggle widget. I have amended this widget to show or hide the navigatior sidebar based on a user preference

This kind of layout stuff will become much easier in the Mendix 5 release. For now it's not possible though.
