At the moment we have a component for parsing all kinds of barcodes. It is under review by Mendix so it should be in the App Store as soon as it is approved.

Can you tell more about the configuration? Do you scan with a camera, or barcode scanner? Is it low bandwidth (mobile device?) or on internet or on a lan? Do you want to enter a number in a field or directly into an mendix attribute?
