Show desktop client F9 does not start app

I have downloaded My First App in Business Modeler 5.0.0. Deployed Locally. No errors. When I click Show desktop client it opens my browser and shows http://localhost:8080/index.html. Nothing happens. I'm completely new to mendix and have tried to search for a solution myself but could not find it. Thanks for the help

That is odd. Any chance you have other software running on port 8080? Or the admin port at 8090? Though normally you'd get a warning for that. Perhaps you could change the port just to make sure? If you ran a Mendix 4 version of the client at some point, try clearing your browser cache (ctrl-shift-delete in most browsers)
