Web publishing without Dojo?

Is it possible to make Mendix publish regular HTML pages or does it only publish pages through Dojo?

You can place html pages in the theme folder or put a html snippet widget on a page and fill it.

Mendix uses a jetty webserver that serves the pages. Dojo is the javascript framework for the page content.

Yes but can I add an HTML page and still have elements like the content area and navigation? My concern is that Dojo may not be browser compatible enough for my organization.
