Tab switching: content originating tab stays (partly) visible. Only in Chrome

Hi, I have a screen with a Tab container with several tabs. Sometimes when I switch from one tab to another, the content of the originating tab stays visible if the new tab content has less height. To clarify: below the new content that is visible in the tab I've switched to, there is still visible the content from the originating tab. This seems to happen in Chrome and not in IE. Is there someway I can prevent this to happen.
