Export to excel

Hi All, Could somebody help me please on this issue? I am using export to excel to export all the data from the screen, but date field defined in mendix is coming in excel in general format. It should be in date format, Can somebody tell me how can i resolve this issue.

Based on the reference guide, it looks like the date formats in Excel were fixed in 4.8:

Date export format Since: Mendix 4.8 Defines how dates will be exported. When Date value is selected, date values will be exported as real dates, so that it is possible to use Excel date functions like sorting. When Text is selected, date values will be exported exactly as shown in the data grid.
