I have a problem viewing my google maps within a tab

From some of my pages I am not able to see my google maps. This is only when the google map is within a tabbed page. However when I inspect the element on the browser then the google maps appears. This is happening for me on both IE 11 and Chrome 42.0.2311.90 m. Is this a known issue and is there a work around it?

This is a known issue in the Mendix client. The resize function of the widget is not triggered, so the widget isn't able to have the map redrawn. (initially the widget has no height when it's located on a closed tab or in a closed groupbox). This issue is on the list to be fixed in Mendix 5.16 release.
